After a collegiate wrestling career gave him two places on the podium on the NCAA Division I level, Lou Rosselli had the opportunity to represent the United States in the Olympics. Rosselli  has carved out a reputation for being one of the nation’s finest tactical coaches. Rosselli left Edinboro for Ohio State a few years back and is now carving out another sound reputation, winning in the Big Ten and grooming more World and Olympic Team members. Jason Bryant and Kyle Klingman talked with Rosselli on Monday. Listen below.

Jim Gibbons won a high school state championship in Ames, Iowa. He then won an NCAA Championship wrestling for the Cyclones. He followed by guiding Iowa State to its last NCAA team championship. Now, Gibbons is one of the top wrestling broadcasters in the business and follows the sport very closely.

Dan Gable was at the Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum for the Glen Brand Brand Wrestling HDan Gableall of Fame of Iowa. Gable, a former two-time NCAA champion for Iowa State, coached the University of Iowa to 15 NCAA team titles from 1977 through 1997.

Wrestling 411 had a chance to talk to Gable about the head coaching vacancy at Iowa State University. Gable discussed his thoughts on Cael Sanderson leaving, where this leaves Cyclone wrestling, and his thoughts on going after the job himself.

Thursday’s show will be coming to you from the Sports Pavilion on the campus of the University of Minnesota where the host Gophers will take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Airtime for the show is slated to begin following the conclusion of the dual. We’ll be playing the show back at our normally scheduled time of 7 p.m. Central. The dual will start at 2 p.m. Central.

Wrestling 411 Radio will host three live highlight shows this week, two from the Midlands Tournament and one from the Oklahoma State-Minnesota dual meet.

On Dec. 29-30, 2008, Wrestling 411 Radio will air live highlight shows from the Midlands Tournament beginning at 4 p.m. both days. The Midlands Tournament is considered one of the most prestigious and time-honored collegiate wrestling tournaments in the country.

On Jan. 1, 2008, Wrestling 411 Radio will air at 3:30 p.m., immediately following the Oklahoma State versus Minnesota dual meet in Minneapolis, Minn. These two historic programs have combined to win seven out of the past eight NCAA Wrestling Tournaments.

The Oklahoma State-Minnesota dual meet begins at 2 p.m.

Augsburg College’s KAUG radio serves as the online host of Wrestling 411 Radio. University of Missouri Head Wrestling Coach Brian Smith will be the featured guest on Wrestling 411 Radio on Thursday, November 20.

Smith’s Tigers won dual meets over Lock Haven and Bucknell this past weekend, and will be hosting Hofstra on November 22 at 2 p.m. The Hofstra dual meet is part of a special event “Wrestling Supporting Wrestling,” where all money raised from tickets sales will go directly to Missouri’s wrestling program.

During his time at Missouri Smith has compiled a 121-60-2 dual meet record, producing 11 All-Americans to 17 top-eight performances and recently aided in two-time National Champion Ben Askren’s run through the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China. The Tigers also placed third at the 2007 NCAA tournament.
